EJ Shoe Tunes CD captures the essence of the Endicott Johnson Company in music. EJ manufactured leather and rubber footware from the late 1890s to 1980s in Binghamton, Endicott, Johnson City, and nearby NY towns. EJ was world's largest shoe company in the early 20th century. Tracks include seven (7) company songs sung by a choir from Johnson City High School and Johnson City Senior Center, plus stories by EJ Choir members, stories of Sunday concerts at EnJoie Park. The last series of tracks presents music from the ethnic communities that made up EJ's work force.
